The old Rusthall Fire Station on Lower Green Road became redundant in February 2012. Rusthall Parish Council bought it in December 2014, thanks to a generous donation from a resident. It will be named The Rackliff Centre , after the benefactor and in memory of his wife: “It comes as a gift from my late wife and myself for the kindness shown to us by the village people over the last 25 years that we have lived here.”

Having been refurbished, it is being used as the Parish Office. There is also a small room for one to one counselling, plus a meeting room for up to 10 people and a larger hall for activities, meetings and the like. All these are available for hiring out. There is also a small kitchen and there will be Wi-Fi available throughout the building. The original red fire engine doors have been retained.

Below you can see the work as it progressed from beginning to end. As of March 2016 the Rackliff Centre is open for business. Contact the Rusthall Parish Clerk Su Denne if you wish to know more.
