Rusthall Village Association AGM Report.
Chair Jenny Blackburn read her report outlining the formation of the Rusthall Village Association on the 20 of July 2004. She stated there were 103 members and gave details of the things that had happened since its formation last Summer.
Jenny announced that our Warden will be arriving in June, her name is Ariana Sutton. She has worked as a Warden in Hastings and will be funded by the KCC and will work a eight-hour day. Ariana is looking forward to attending an RVA meeting and also getting to know the young and the elderly of the village.
Design work on the new sports facilities will be completed in 2006/7. We are assured that the RVA will have an opportunity to pass them, or suggest alterations.
The taxi rank is due to be removed this month.
The CCTV camera was due to be fitted and working in April however, it could not be affixed because the wrong ducting was fitted. New ducting is due to replace the incorrect sort and the camera installed and WORKING in May.
RVA have conducted enquiries regarding the now unused public toilets - as members have
requested their return. We were informed there was no move to open them, as they are due to be demolished. However, the new enlarged committee will re-apply, as there appears to be a glimmer of hope there somewhere.
The report was unanimously approved by the meeting.
Treasurers Report.
Treasurer Jenny Alexander gave her report and stated that the accounts had been audited by Farid Malik. It was agreed that he would be the auditor of the accounts for the future. The report was approved.
